A simple design with the player photograph on the white background with a paintbrush effect in team colours in the background. I quite like the text font and simplicity of design in these cards. The 221 card collection includes 12 players from each of the 18 AFL clubs plus 5 checklist cards. The back of the cards are packed with stats and information for the player in an interesting graphic design.

The holofoils set found 1 per packet follows the distribution pattern of a parallel set but differs from the usual parallel format in that players differ from common cards. Most collectors will however still regard this as a parallel set for collecting purposes. The cards design is a player image on a rainbow holofoil background with gold embossed text. The first design of it's kind for a select parallel set.

Set Name
A blast from the past for select introducing a Pop Up card collection not done since 1997 in an AFL release. Although more targeted towards the younger demographic these cards can prove to be a gold mine in value for the hardened collector. With the nature of the card meaning a large number of cards will be popped and damaged in the long term these cards can be highly collectable. This is one to stash away.
The card is in a basic cardboard finish with the pop out image of the player in front of a club relevant background. The design is simple but suits the card layout. The collection consists of 108 cards with 6 players from each of the 18 clubs. With only 6 cards for each team there are plenty of high profile players to collect. |

Set Name
A new design and concept for a series 1 release with a quality of list of players only making up this collection. This part photograph part sketch design gives the comic book effect almost portraying the player as a superhero. The creative gold embossed text only enhances this effect. This insert collection is one that appeals to both the kids and the hardened collector. I think this is one of the most complete low end insert collections in design and appeal that select has produced in years.
The collection consists of 54 cards with 3 players for each of the 18 AFL clubs. With players like Ablett Jnr, Dangerfield, Franklin and Martin featuring there are plenty of big hits to be had. We give this set X out 10 Foam Fingers

Set Name
This repeat collection is shore to divide opinions in the market place. The card features a caricature style image of the player in front of a green star filled holographic design. Starburst is written in gold embossed text which enhances the overall design effect of the card. Overall the design of the card is appealing but is it too much of the same following on from previous season release and the overall cartoon style impact of this release.

Set Name
The same design and basically a parallel version if you will of the starburst caricature cards. The purple background version are found only in starter packs and not in factory sealed boxes. Some would say making them harder to collect and hence slightly higher in value then the basic starburst cards.

Set Name
This is a limited edition numbered version of the basic popups is done in a refractor style platinum effect. This card will divide collectors in that does it warrant being one of the high end hits of this release at 1 per box. Select do however deserve to be applauded for the addition of this extra box hit. As per the regular popups this may be a long term investment for collectors as to the nature of the popup card lending itself to larger numbers of the card being damaged in the short term.

Set Name
This is the second season of the return of a Brownlow Predictor concept to a Select AFL trading card release. The collection provides for the card that represents the eventual Brownlow winner for 2017 to be redeemed for a special limited edition signature card of that player. Great concept in theory but I feel they have got the make up of the release wrong. Each of the 18 AFL clubs has 8 cards with a total number of 145 cards in the set plus one wild card to represent any player that may win the Brownlow that may not have a card. For the complete set collector at odds of 1 in 36 packets this makes for an almost impossible task and with 8 per team many cards represent a zero chance of being a winning card for sake of redemption.
The design of the card though is however outstanding. A simple but very sleek design featuring the player front and centre and gold embossed framing and Brownlow medal image make this one up on last years design. |

Set Name
This is a continuation of the long term Select case card release. Featuring 300 game players the case card collection is a great way to honour these great achievements and a highly collectable set. This set features players 67, 68, and 69 in this massive collection spanning back to xxxx. The player selection for this release will be highly sort after with tow current players , Scott Thompson and Sam Mitchell and one recently retired superstar Jimmy Bartel.
The card design has not changed but that is the way we like it with the cards given extra value by being limited edition numbered on the back. |
