Product ReviewPossibly one of the best Select trading card release they ever produced and ironically the last under the current license. This set is packed with insert hits and superstar player cards. The crowning glory of the release is the limited edition League Leaders Gold and Black foil cards. A striking design and in very limited supply.

Back of Cards, Team Logo and Checklist Cards 2012 Select NRL Dynasty Common Cards
Common cards are a basic design which will be well suited to autograph hunters. 12 cards for each team all being player cards with no team logo for series 2 this year. The backs of the card are very distinctive and angled lines seem to be the order of the day. The quality of card stock seems a little down on previous season series 1 but very little in the way of damaged cards has been present.

The design on these silver parallel cards is very striking with the colours of the team featured in an angled background design. The backs of the cards are also very distinctive to each team with the logo prominant. The cards are very thin but seem to be good quality. They also feature a protective seal to keep the cards in mint condition.

2012 Select NRL Dynasty All-Star Game
Simple foil stamped cardboard stock insert but at 1:6 packets you do not mind. A great collection of 40 players in this set done in two very distinctive designs for each team. A few card came out of packets with a slight production damage to the top of the cards with a top layer peeling from the edge. Overall though a nice addition to series 2.

A very basic design for this card set which continues a long tradition in this insert set. At 1:18 packets I think this silver foil on white cardboard background is underwhelming and a little bit of a let down. Probably the biggest disappointment of this series. The set does though provide some cards for big name players such as Billy Slater & Benji Marshall.

The Award winners card for this season has been done in a refractor card style with a design which reflects the overall series design. The cards are quite striking but special care will need to be taken to avoid damage. With only 6 cards in the set and found one per box 2 of each card will be found per case. The value on these is sure to drop with an over supply of each card hitting the market.

This 1 in 2 box insert set is an innovation for this release and makes for happy hunting when cracking open packs. The cards are a gold foil design card which will be very subject to damage so protecting these cards will be a priority. A great selection of 16 cards featuring the captains of each club. Some cards have single players, others have 2 players and the Souths card features the five club captains.

This set is almost what you would call a parallel release of the Gold League Leaders. The cards feature the foil gold inner section of the Gold Leaders with a black cardboard edging and silver embossed. The cards are not anything exceptional in design but at a limited edition of 50 and featuring some big name players are sure to make them highly sort after and a fantastic addition to your collection.

The Top Prospects Signatures are back again as that one per box signature fix.The cards are a nice design with clear signatures on each but the selection of players probably lets the set down. Some of the biggest names in the set would be Aaron Woods, Shaun Johnson, Tariq Sims and Matthew Duffie. You never do know though so any player could emerge in the future.
